New York Times Square, a car crash on Thursday, a US Navy veteran driving on the sidewalk crowd, resulting in an 18-year-old woman died, 22 people were injured. New York Mayor said there was no indication that the incident was a terrorist attack.

Witnesses said he drove a red wine Honda car rushed to the sidewalk, driving more than three blocks, all the way crashing pedestrians, and finally hit a pillar, in Manhattan midfielder 45th Street and near the Broadway Avenue to stop.

Police arrested the driver named Richard Rojas, aged 26, living in Bronx, New York. Police said Rojas was arrested twice in 2008 and 2015 for drunken burglars earlier this month.

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio told reporters at the scene that there was no sign that the incident was a terrorist attack.

The initial report on the accident reminiscent of car attacks in the UK, France, Germany, Israel and Sweden in recent months.

The monitor screen shows that the car suddenly rushed into a few seconds before walking alone, or holding a shopping bag, or pushing the baby carriage of pedestrians.

The accident occurred at noon near the local time (1600GMT), when the weather was sunny and sunny.
