US President Trump called on China on Monday to stick to the Sino - Korean border and put pressure on China before talks with North Korean leader Kim Jeong-eun on the issue of denuclearization next month.
"China must strictly abide by the border between China and the DPRK until the agreement is reached. It is said that the Sino Korean border has been loosening and infiltrating more and more recently. I would like to see this and hope that the DPRK will succeed, but it must be signed after the agreement is signed. " Trump's tweet said.
Trump did not elaborate on the importance of the Sino Korean border issue in the possible denuclearization agreement. He previously said he and Kim Jeong-eun will meet in Singapore in June 12th.
Last week, North Korea threatened to cancel talks if Washington continued to ask North Korea to unilaterally abandon nuclear weapons. Trump responded that, as far as he knew, the meeting with Kim Jeong-eun was still in preparation; to appease Kim Jeong-eun, he also said that, no matter what agreement was reached, Kim Jeong-eun's security would be guaranteed.
Last week, Trump told reporters at the White House that Kim Jeong-eun's two recent visit to Beijing is likely to be affected by the Chinese government.
