Kunlun energy (0135.HK), a branch of 0857.HK (601857.SS)'s natural gas terminal business, said on Thursday that the company would increase its LNG (LNG) business and have the opportunity to inject more receiving stations into the parent company in the future.
Kunlun energy acquired 51% stake in Jingtang Liquefied Natural Gas Ltd, which was held by PetroChina last year, marking the three LNG terminals of the parent company.
Kunlun energy executive director Zhao Zhongxun attended the annual meeting of shareholders to the media that, in order to ensure the domestic gas supply, the parent company, in addition to the LNG receiving station in Shenzhen, is also working on the LNG receiving station project in Shandong, Liaoning, Guangdong and Fujian, including the site selection, if it goes well next year. It can be started and put into production in three years. In addition, Kunlun energy has expanded or improved the existing three LNG receiving stations.
"The state requires gas storage capacity to account for more than 10% of the sales volume, otherwise it can not sell gas and can not develop the market, so all the places that can be built will be built." Zhao Zhongxun, deputy general manager of CNPC's planning and planning department, said.
In fact, CNPC plans to increase imports of LNG, which had previously signed an agreement with the US Liquefied Natural Gas Ltd Cheniere Energy (LNG.A) to buy about 1 million 200 thousand tons of LNG a year to each other, some of which were delivered this year.
