The Asian stock market has experienced a mild decline at the beginning of the week, and the market is waiting for the upcoming summit of the US and North Korea, which will ease regional tensions. At the same time, investors are focusing on a series of major central bank meetings later this week.
US President Trump left the G7 summit in Canada at the weekend, and then published an astonishing language that refused to sign the G7 communiqu, destroying the fragile consensus on trade disputes between Washington and its major allies. The stock market has fallen.
E- Mini S & P 500 index futures fell 0.1%, slightly down 0.3% earlier.
The MSCI index of the Asia Pacific region (except Japan) fell earlier, but the latest rise was 0.15%. Hongkong's Hang Seng Index.HSI rose 0.3%, while Shanghai Composite Index.SSEC fell 0.5%.
Korea composite index (KOSPI).KS11 rose 0.4%, Japan's Nikkei index.N225 rose 0.3%.
"The G7 meeting on weekends is not out of date. Although countries have problems on trade issues, they seem to have a consistent position on the Korean issue, so the G7 conference has a positive impact on risk preference, "said Masahiro Ichikawa, a senior strategist at Mitsui's Sumitomo asset management.
After the G7 meeting, US President Trump cancelled its support for the communiqu. It made the Canadian Prime Minister, Trudeau, in the import tariff dispute, causing new trade concerns.
"The Canadian G7 conference again shows the growing differences between the United States and its allies on the issue of free trade," wrote Tai Hui, the chief market strategist in the Asia Pacific region of Morgan asset management.
