PricewaterhouseCoopers, an internationally renowned accounting and consulting firm, predicted Tuesday that the number of initial public offerings (IPOs) of TMT (technology, media and communications) companies in the domestic A-share market would be relatively stable, while the overseas IPO craze would continue and the Hong Kong market would benefit from policy revisions. The attraction of capital TMT enterprises is even greater.
Lin Xiaofan, PwC's partner in China's technology, media and communications industries, predicts that the escalating Sino-US trade war in the near future will create some uncertainties in the valuation of Chinese TMT companies in the choice of listing sites and listing financing.
"In June and July, many enterprises have submitted their applications for public offerings in Hong Kong. If the market works properly, they should be listed in the second half of the year. So I feel that the second half of the year, both in terms of quantity and financing scale will be higher than the first half of the year. He said.
Millet (1810.HK) and China Tower (0788.HK) went public in July and August, raising 37.1 billion Hong Kong dollars and 54.3 billion Hong Kong dollars, respectively, according to the number of shares offered; the amount of funding from the US-based review, which is currently offering shares, is expected to rise to 34.6 billion Hong Kong dollars.
At present, it has applied to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and there are many Chinese TMT enterprises waiting for IPO, such as Yilong Tongcheng, Baby Tree, AsiaInfo Technology, Tuba Rabbit, Midhand Tour and so on.
