General Motors (GM.N) sales in China fell 14.9% in the third quarter, battered by a general downturn in the Chinese market and a slowdown in China's economic growth in the Sino-US trade tug-of-war.
GM sold 835,934 vehicles in the July-September quarter, down from a year earlier, citing "weakness" in the car market and a replacement of its Buick-brand engine system.
China's auto sales have been falling in recent months, affected by a slowdown in China's economic growth, and the Sino-US trade dispute has led consumers to be cautious about spending.
GM's second quarter sales in China edged up 0.7%, down from 8% in the first quarter.
