British Prime Minister spokesman said Monday that the new date for parliament to vote on Teresa May's withdrawal agreement will depend on when the government can get the guarantees it needs from the EU.
The spokesman said the British government had no intention of postponing Britain's withdrawal from Europe and would not go through the process of trying to obtain additional guarantees from the EU unless it thought it could.
"I don't think the prime minister has set a date... I think it's important, as she said on many occasions, to get the guarantees parliament needs, so we will be led by the process," the spokesman told reporters.
