China Railway Construction (601186.SS) and Sichuan Road and Bridge (600039.SS) closed up 6.63% and 5.28% respectively.
The Chinese government has shifted its focus to infrastructure, exports and water pollution control, while slowing down efforts to cut capacity in the coal and steel industries, the China Information Daily reported Wednesday. In its guidance to local governments and relevant departments, the State Council promised to provide financial support if they implemented the priorities set by the central government.
