A McConnell spokesman said McConnell would seek Senate approval next week.
Democrats insist that border security will be discussed only after the government is back in operation. Senate Democratic Leader Schumer said: "From the beginning, the President abolished DACA and TPS first. He wants to return some protective measures in exchange for building the wall, which is not a concession, but more like extortion. DACA refers to the suspension of eviction of childhood arrivals, or the Dreamchaser Program.
