North Korean leader Kim Jong-un spoke highly of U.S. President Trump and expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the second talks between officials of the two countries, the state-owned Korean Central News Agency reported Thursday.
According to reports, Kim Jong-un said he would trust Trump's approach. He warned weeks ago that if the United States continued to impose sanctions and pressure on North Korea, he might have to go another way.
"Kim Jong-un said that we will believe in President Trump's positive way of thinking, wait with goodwill and patience, and work with the United States to advance step by step towards the goals that the two countries want to achieve," KCNA said.
The report said Kim Jong-un was "very satisfied" with receiving a "great" letter from Trump and a briefing on the outcome of the North Korean delegation's visit to the United States last week, but did not elaborate.
