Thailand's Electoral Commission asked the Constitutional Court to consider dissolving the Raksa Chart Party of Thailand, which nominated the princess for Prime Minister.
In a statement, the committee said the party violated the election law because it nominated Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya Sirivadhana Barnavadi last week and called it "an act contrary to the constitutional monarchy".
Thailand, ruled by the military government, will hold general elections on March 24.
