Hua Chunying said in response: "I have seen relevant reports. The situation of several projects mentioned in the Indian report is seriously inconsistent with the facts. For example, the Diamega-Basha Dam project in Pakistan has not been included. List of Pakistan Economic Corridor Projects."

In fact, this is not the first time that foreign media has paid attention to Pakistan's Basha dam project. Instead, it will be used once and for all for a while, and every time there is a report, there is a problem that is inconsistent with the facts.

The China Economic Net reporter inquired about the list of projects on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor on the official website of the Ministry of Development, Planning and Reform of Pakistan. Not only the 15 energy projects, but also the Basha Dam project, even in the preparatory projects, there is no such big Dam project.

According to the China Economic Net reporter, the Basha project is a project of concern to successive governments of Pakistan. It has a huge volume, mainly based on irrigation and flood control, and has the function of generating electricity. The project is located on the Indus River in the disputed Kashmir region of India and Pakistan. According to information provided by the Pakistan Hydropower Development Agency (WAPDA), the project plans to build a RCC gravity dam with a height of 272 meters and a planned installed capacity of 4.5 million kilowatts.
