Bloomberg reported Tuesday that Ken Hitchner, chairman and CEO of Goldman Sachs Group in Asia Pacific, excluding Japan, will retire, citing people familiar with the matter.
Higgina will continue to hold office in Hong Kong until mid-2019, according to the report.
Goldman did not immediately respond to Reuters'request for comment.
As a former pilot of the U.S. Navy, Hitchner was appointed President of the Bank in the Asia-Pacific region (except Japan) in 2013 and President and CEO of the Bank in 2017.
