U.S. authorities informed Airlines Monday that Boeing 737 MAX 8 was still airworthiness, while investigators tracked down two black box recorders to help clarify the final situation of Ethiopian Airlines before Sunday's crash.
Earlier Monday, China and Indonesia grounded 737 MAX 8 flights with security concerns, and Boeing (BA.N) shares tumbled Monday, evaporating billions of dollars in market value.
The Ethiopian airliner crash killed 157 people.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced Monday evening that the aircraft was still "continued airworthiness notification". The FAA said it was collecting information about the crash and keeping in touch with the international civil aviation authorities. If any safety problems were found, it would take immediate action.
