NEWS： US Navy and Coast Guard ships crossing the Taiwan Strait

The U.S. military says it dispatched naval and coast guard ships across the Taiwan Strait on Sunday. In spite of China's opposition, the US side has increased the frequency of naval vessels passing through this strategic channel.
The U.S. military statement said the two vessels were the Navy's Curtis Wilbur destroyer and the Coast Guard's Bertholf patrol ship.
The statement also said that the passage of ships through the Taiwan Strait was a demonstration of the commitment of the United States to the free and open Indian Ocean-Pacific Ocean.
