US President Trump urged the Iranian leader to sit down and negotiate with him to abandon his nuclear program on Thursday, saying that he could not rule out the possibility of military conflict in view of the current tension between the two countries.

At a temporary press conference at the White House, Trump refused to explain what prompted him to send a Lincoln aircraft carrier to the Middle East. At that time, the US said that it was a threat to Iran, but did not elaborate.

“We have information that you don’t want to know,” Trump said. “They are very threatening and we must guarantee a high level of security in our country and many other regions.”

Trump was asked if Iran had a risk of a military conflict with US military forces in the area.

"I think you can say that forever, right? I don't want to deny it, but I hope this won't happen," he said.

Senior members of Trump's national security team discussed issues such as Iran. The White House called this a regular meeting.

Trump ordered the US to withdraw from the nuclear deal reached between Iran and the six countries in 2015 last year. He had expressed his desire to meet with Iranian leaders in the past, but he did not receive a positive response. He made this appeal again at the press conference.

"They should do it, call me, sit down and talk. We can reach an agreement, a fair deal, we just don't want them to have nuclear weapons. - The requirements are not too high. And we will help them get back to good. situation."
