French Digital Minister Cedric O said Tuesday that Facebook (FB.O), the world's largest social media company, has agreed to hand over to judges the identity data of French users suspected of making hate speech on the social platform, which is the first step in the world.
Cedric O's father was a Korean, and he was the earliest follower of French President Mark Long. He served as an adviser to the presidential palace for the first two years of his presidency, and had some influence on Marklong's ideas on the regulation of large-scale technological enterprises.
Before Facebook made the decision, CEO Zuckerberg and Mark Long met several times in a row. Marklong hopes to play a leading role in global action to monitor the spread of hate speech and false information on the Internet.
So far, Facebook has cooperated with the French Ministry of Justice to hand over Suspects'IP addresses and other identity data to judges after formal requests from judges to help combat terrorist attacks and violence.
