Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said on Monday that he would not hesitate to take all possible measures flexibly when downside risks arise.
After the ruling coalition successfully maintained a majority in Sunday's Senate elections, Abe promised to continue to prioritize the economy.
Abe also said that when the consumption tax was raised to 10% in October, adequate measures would be taken to support private consumption.
