South Korea's Yonhap news agency quoted Qingwatai officials as reporting that Russian officials told South Korea that Russian military aircraft flew into unscheduled airspace on Tuesday due to equipment failure.
Yin Daohan, Chief Secretary of National Communication of Tsingwatai, pointed out that a Russian military officer told an official of the South Korean Ministry of Defense on Tuesday that the Russian military aircraft caught fire in South Korea because it flew into South Korean airspace was "entered into unplanned airspace due to equipment failure".
Yonhap reported that Yin Daohan said the Russian Ministry of Defense would immediately launch an investigation and take all necessary measures.
