Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hua Chunying again urged the US side on Monday to stop condoning violent lawbreakers, undermining the SAR government's rule of law and interfering in Hong Kong's affairs.
Answering questions from reporters, Hua Chunying said that no one should underestimate China's firm determination to implement "one country, two systems" and maintain Hong Kong's prosperity and stability.
Hua Chunying said, "We firmly oppose the black-and-white inversion of the views of the relevant people of the United States, which is inseparable from right and wrong, and with sinister intentions."
"By avoiding and ignoring the widespread abuse of power and violent law enforcement by the police in the United States, the United States has criticized the Hong Kong police for their professionalism, tolerance of humiliation and civilized law enforcement, and even vilified attacks, it will only make the world more aware of the arrogance and prejudice, hypocrisy and cold-bloodedness, selfishness and hegemony of the United States. Is violence rampant and the rule of law corrupted the "human rights and freedoms" that the United States expects? Hua Chunying said.
