In Shenzhen, Zhang Xiaoming attended a symposium jointly held by the Joint Office of China and the Hong Kong and Macao Offices, and held meetings and exchanges with hundreds of representatives of the Hong Kong People's Congress and the CPPCC.
"The biggest difference in today's symposium is that the situation in Hong Kong is very unstable. From June 9 to today, Hong Kong's routine has become more and more turbulent, violence has become more and more intense, and society has become more and more widespread. It can be said that Hong Kong is facing the most serious situation since its return. He said.
He said that the central government pays great attention to the situation in Hong Kong and studies it strategically and globally. Recently, the central authorities have expressed their positions, attitudes and basic views on the situation in Hong Kong in different ways.
Zhang Xiaoming said that he hoped that through this symposium, he would open windows with Hong Kong and speak more clearly.
