NEWS: Canadian Consulate General suspended Hong Kong employees

The Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong said on Friday that it had suspended its Hong Kong local employees from working in the Mainland of China. Earlier, a Hong Kong employee of the British Consulate General in Hong Kong confirmed that he had been held in administrative detention in the Mainland.
In an e-mail reply to Reuters, the Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong did not explain the reasons for the restriction.
China's Foreign Ministry confirmed Wednesday that Zheng Wenjie, a British Consulate General in Hong Kong, was held in administrative detention in Shenzhen.
