GlobalFoundries filed a patent infringement lawsuit against the wafer factory in the United States. TSM. N said in a statement Tuesday that Grofford's lawsuit was unfounded. Every effort will be made to fight back in all ways to protect proprietary technology developed independently.
TSMC pointed out that it was disappointed that its peers did not compete in the market with technology and resorted to unfounded legal actions.
On Tuesday, TSMC's stock price performance was unaffected by the lawsuit, closing up 0.6% at NT$250.
Grofford filed patent infringement lawsuits against TSMC in the United States and Germany last night. Grofford sought court orders to prevent TSMC from exporting semiconductor products manufactured using infringement technology to the United States and Germany. Grofford also sought high damages.
