China's Ministry of Commerce announced Wednesday that since September 29, 2019, it will no longer impose anti-dumping duties on PVC imports from the United States, South Korea, Japan and Taiwan; the anti-dumping measures applied to the products under investigation will be terminated on September 28, 2019.
According to the announcement published on the website of the Ministry of Commerce, on September 24, 2019, the applicant of this case filed an application to the investigating authority to cancel the final review investigation and request to terminate the final review investigation of PVC anti-dumping. After examination, the investigating authority decided to accept the application.
According to the announcement, on September 29, 2003, the Ministry of Commerce issued announcement No. 48 in 2003, which decided to impose anti-dumping duties on PVC imports originating in the United States, South Korea, Japan, Russia and Taiwan for five years from September 29, 2003. On September 29, 2009, it was decided to extend the anti-dumping measures for PVC imports from the United States, South Korea, Japan, Russia and Taiwan for five years from September 29, 2009.
On September 28, 2015, it was decided to extend the anti-dumping measures for PVC imports from the United States, South Korea, Japan and Taiwan for three years from September 29, 2015, and the anti-dumping measures for PVC imports from Russia were terminated from September 29, 2015.
