"While we're happy to show that we're an American company, there are things we're just trying to... Keep a little low profile," said Greg Pauken, director of product development. "Why create more unnecessary conflicts?"

In the two sessions of the fair, the US government has tried to avoid attending. Some other countries have leaders or high-level officials, and many countries set up luxury exhibition groups to promote their products.
Nevertheless, the number of American enterprises attending this year is more than that in the first year, close to 200, because they are still enthusiastic about China's huge market. In some cases, companies also want to support an activity that the Chinese government considers very important.
Concerns remain about the outlook for companies if the trade war continues and China's economy continues to slide.
Lin Shiwei, President of the Asia Pacific region of Honeywell (Hon. N) Aerospace Group, said U.S. companies had not been affected, but "this possibility must exist".
