Three Germans suspected of "spying for China" were investigated, including one former German diplomat to the European Union and two employees of a well-known German lobbying company, German media reported. They are suspected of providing sensitive information, including business intelligence, to Chinese "middlemen". A spokesman for the German federal prosecutor's office confirmed Wednesday that it had investigated three suspects, but gave no details, Deutsche Welle said.
