The previous day, there were 813 new cases, and South Korea became the most serious country outside China. South Korea's Central Department of epidemic prevention and control (KCDC) said the number of deaths increased to 20.

"It's a wise decision to move religious activities online, because the virus can easily spread when people gather, and churches are no exception."
This is the first time in 236 years that the Catholic Church of South Korea has decided to suspend mass in more than 1700 locations across the country. Buddhist temples have also cancelled activities, while Christian church religious activities take place online.
KCDC said some church members visited Wuhan in January and said they were investigating whether the trip was related to the outbreak in South Korea.
