German customs authorities confiscated and sealed a batch of medical protective materials, including high-grade masks and protective clothing used in medical, laboratory and chemical production, as well as civil masks, from the European distribution center of 3M group in Yuxing, Germany, on the grounds of suspected illegal export, according to the Rhine post on Monday.
The media didn't know the exact quantity of the medical goods, but security sources said they found "several trucks of goods intended to be illegally exported" and that the products should have been exported to the United States and Switzerland.

Germany's Federal Customs Administration and 3M group also confirmed the "withholding of masks", a customs spokesman said, "3M company is responsible for verifying compliance with laws and regulations on export goods. All other matters are subject to tax secrecy ".
Recently, Germany has imposed export restrictions on medical protective equipment. According to the German government, only when the country's major needs are met can protective equipment be exported.
3M said in early March, when Germany imposed export restrictions, it immediately stopped exporting related goods. The products are still being inspected in the warehouse, and they are now working with the Customs for further evaluation. The Group intends to work closely with customs to meet the requirements of its export regulations.
